Marlies Leuzinger

Running M Equine is excited to announce the addition of Marlies Leuzinger to our team as an ambassador and sponsored rider for the 2025 Rodeo Season!

Marlies, 16 years old, hails from Hixon, British Columbia, and has been passionately competing as an amateur barrel racer for the past three years across British Columbia. She is also a valued client of Running M Equine and has experienced firsthand the positive results from our Magnawave Sessions on her horse, Soleil.

Marlies is eager to represent the Running M Equine brand and share her journey with the community. We are thrilled to support and promote her endeavors throughout the upcoming rodeo season.


Gemma Sakamoto

At just 13 years old, Gemma Sakamoto from Prince George, British Columbia, is making a remarkable impact in the High School Rodeo community. Over the past three years, she has competed with dedication and passion in events such as Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, and Pole Bending, representing British Columbia with pride.

As a client of Running M Equine, Gemma prioritizes her horses’ health and wellness by scheduling regular Magnawave sessions to ensure they perform at their very best. Her dedication to her equine partners shows her passion for the sport and her desire to succeed while maintaining the well-being of her horses.

Gemma is a valued member of the rodeo community, known for her friendly spirit and enthusiasm for making new connections within the equine world. Running M Equine is thrilled to welcome Gemma to Team Running M Equine as an ambassador for the 2025 rodeo season. We look forward to supporting her journey and cheering her on every step of the way!


Nevada Jones

At 16 years old, Nevada Jones is a proud long-time resident of Prince George, British Columbia, and a dynamic force in the rodeo world. Coming from a proud rodeo family—including her grandfather, Garry Suter; her mother, Christine; her father, Darrin; and her aunt, Sandi Suter—Nevada’s passion for rodeo runs deep through her bloodline.

An avid competitor in both the BC Rodeo and BC High School Rodeo Associations, Nevada travels across Canada and into the United States to compete in a variety of events, including barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, reining, cowhorse, team roping, breakaway roping, and light ruffle shooting. Her versatility and dedication make her a standout in the rodeo community.

Beyond rodeo, Nevada is committed to her horsemanship and physical fitness. She also assist coaches at her Judo club in Prince George, demonstrating her leadership, discipline, and drive both on and off the arena.

In 2023, Nevada achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for the National High School Rodeo Finals in Gillette, Wyoming—an accomplishment that highlights her talent and perseverance. As she prepares for the busy 2025 season, Nevada is also running for Miss BC High School Rodeo Queen, exemplifying her leadership and commitment to the sport.

Running M Equine is thrilled to welcome Nevada onto Team Running M Equine. We look forward to following her journey, celebrating her achievements, and supporting her endeavors throughout 2025.


Ella Stevenson

Ella has been passionate about horses since she could walk, with a love for riding and competition that has only grown over the years. Approximately 10 years ago, she discovered her true calling in barrel racing and rodeo events, where her dedication to horsemanship and her unwavering focus on continuous learning has set her apart.

For Ella, horsemanship always comes first. She firmly believes in the motto "horse first, sport second", prioritizing the well-being and training of her equine athletes to achieve their best. Her commitment to this philosophy ensures she builds a strong, trusting partnership with her horses, which is the foundation of her success.

On the rodeo trail, Ella competes in both barrel racing and breakaway roping. She is fortunate to be mounted on two talented horses who excel in these events, and she is currently working with promising young horses to prepare for her future competitions. Ella's excitement for the upcoming rodeo season is palpable, and she's eager to take her skills to the next level.

Ella has acquired her Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) permit and continues to compete in BCRA rodeos. She is particularly focused on sharpening her breakaway roping skills and making her mark at the professional level.
